Clout on clout, clouted.

Posted under General

I’ve been really busy the last couple of months with work, and work, and hmm, more work? I did manage to go out and have a bit of fun here and there, but the scales the last while have been flipped to mostly work. I was reminded I needed to update this again, I still have to put up other pictures from India, and my trip out to the east coast. Someday day I’ll get around to it, I should actually look at getting some tools to automate this and make it much easier than it has been.

I was given a word challenge the other day, and ended up with phrase in my title, I was very tired and was thinking of a target on a cloud and my pillow at the time, but this one was more suited for use, we’ll see if it’s considered an accepted phrase.

I’ve been impressed and yet disappointed by both the American and Canadian elections, in part looking at the sheer numbers, it just brings back the though that a few percentage points make a world of a difference. However, I am glad that things will hopefully start looking up down south, and we’ll have a chance to have a much stronger Liberial leader here for the next election.

I also recently switched to an EeePC 1000H, which is now lovely called Muffin; I’ve found with 2 gigs, the longer battery life, the larger screen and speed, much more useful for travel, and light photoshop work. Reinstalled the EeePC 701 with XP SP3 slippstreamed in, and called it Cookie, debating on what to do with this netbook, and no, running it as a webserver is not an option.

Well that’s it for the few months since my last entry..

Workouts and weather..

Posted under Health

This year seems to be a strange year for weather, I managed be exposed to constant allergens, and as an attempt to fight it off (like I have ever other year), I subjected myself to the outdoors - oh the horror. I’ve managed to get myself soaked at least 6 out of 8 days that I’ve been out for without a car nor shelter to dodge for. If global warming is the cause of this, I’d hate to think what a few more degrees will do.

On the bright side I am now officially working out ever 2nd or 3rd day again (!!!!!) for the last 2 weeks, and I’ve already suffered a small injury due to a lack of proper warm up activities, and have had to subject myself to a couple of doses of heat packs already. The question is if I can keep it up for more than 2 to 3 months at a time?

I’ve also started “juicing” my veggies and fruits under the advice of my brother, and a couple of other friends, or better put it’s an attempt to gain more energy. If you have some yummy recipes you like and think I should try out let me know, I’m currently juicing several things and they’ve been interesting.

Pictures from India..

Posted under Photography

After being pushed several times and being really busy with work and life, I found some time today to finally convert a few dozen out of the hundreds of pictures I took there.  Interestingly enough I managed to avoid too many people shots which was my goal at the time.  I have a story for almost every single one of those pictures either directly related or not related, and all in all it was a memorable experience, I’ve debated on putting up some of the videos but they are just too large and I’m not into placing things on YouTube..

I hope you enjoy the pictures all the same and as a small look into the vast differences of India, specifically Mumbai and Bangalore; the pictures that have BLR in them are from Bangalore and the ones with BOM is Mumbai.  I’ll aim to put a second set up in a few more days, as I’m still sorting through the pictures.  So check out Picture Set 18 off the website.. :-)
